Before you start to review your content in Content Cube, you might want to select which goals appear in your collections. This is helpful if you don't yet use one of the goals, or if you want to track content for a specific goal like Inclusive Language. Depending on how you plan to interpret each goal, you can also adjust the corresponding score threshold. If you're an admin, you can also set the default goals for all collections.
Note
These are some of the same goals that you use in Targets.
Depending on your Target, the Acrolinx Score can be made up of some of the following goals:
Is your content easy to read, or is it too complex for your audience? Acrolinx lets you know when you've hit the mark and when you might need to simplify.
When you create content, it can be tricky to stick to one particular style guide. It’s almost impossible to know all the rules by heart. Acrolinx reminds you how and when to use the guidelines from the Acrolinx standard, The Chicago Manual of Style (Chicago), or The Associated Press Stylebook (AP).
Of course, you want to write correctly in the language you’ve selected. Correctness combines all spelling and grammar guidelines.
Inclusive language is one way to dissolve polarizing views and align the impact of your words with your intentions. Acrolinx identifies opportunities to create accessible, people-first content that aligns with your brand, values, and readers.
When your content includes titles, subtitles, lists, and images, it's eye catching and easy to read. Acrolinx helps you keep a clear and consistent structure.
Know your audience. Whether your content is formal or informal, Acrolinx gives you guidance that aligns with the relationship you’ve built with your readers.
Every goal that you see in the dropdown acts as a filter. You can display all of the available goals, or you can choose just a few that you want to focus on. You can also adjust the scoring thresholds for each goal. Each of the goals listed is part of an overarching score called the Acrolinx Score. This unique scoring measures how well your content meets your business goals.

To help you identify, improve, and monitor your content based on the performance metrics that your team tracks, your administrator can link your web analytics tools to Content Cube.
Say that your content marketing team wants to improve engagement. But when you add your engagement metric to Content Cube, you learn that the bounce rate for a content-rich area of your site is high. Page views for key articles also look a little low.
Content Cube will use these findings to suggest changes. You can export a review list and send the affected content to your writers for improvement. After you improve your content, Content Cube will help you track the impact of your changes.
