This is a standalone application. Acrolinx only supports the latest version of this tool. |
We developed this version of the Content Analyzer on Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, macOS 10.15 (Catalina), macOS 11 (Big Sur), and Linux Ubuntu 20.04.
To see detailed installation instructions, choose your operating system:
Install
To install the Content Analyzer on a Windows operating system, just double-click the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
Optional: Use the MSI installer properties listed in the Acrolinx for Office Admin Guide to specify preferences during installation.
Update
You don't have to remove the previous version of the Content Analyzer before installing a newer version. Just follow the same installation procedure described above.
Tip
Check out the Content Analyzer - Release Notes to make sure you're using the most up-to-date version of the Content Analyzer.
Uninstall
To uninstall the Content Analyzer, follow the Microsoft Windows procedure for changing and removing programs.
Install
To install the Content Analyzer on macOS, follow these steps:

Open the Acrolinx setup file.

Move the Acrolinx icon to your Applications folder.

Optional: Use the properties listed in the Acrolinx for Office Admin Guide to specify preferences during installation.
Update
You don't have to remove the previous version of Acrolinx for Office on Windows to install a newer version. To upgrade Acrolinx for Office on Windows, follow the standard installation procedure.

Uninstall
To uninstall the Content Analyzer on macOS, follow these steps:

Quit the Content Analyzer.

Open the Applications folder and move the Acrolinx Content Analyzer icon to your trash.
Install
If you have a package manager installed, you can double-click the Debian package file (.deb) and follow the on-screen instructions.
Alternatively, to install the Content Analyzer on Linux Ubuntu from the command-line terminal, use the following command:
sudo dpkg -i deb_package_name
Replace deb_package_name
with the name of the Acrolinx Content Analyzer Debian package file.
Optional: Use the properties listed in the Acrolinx for Office Admin Guide to specify preferences during installation.
Update
You don't have to remove the previous version of Acrolinx for Office on Windows to install a newer version. To upgrade Acrolinx for Office on Windows, follow the standard installation procedure.
