Advanced configuration steps for the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence.
To connect your Confluence instance to Acrolinx, follow these steps:

Navigate to
> General configuration > Acrolinx Connector for Confluence > Configuration > Edit.

Add the URL of your platform to the Acrolinx Server Address field to connect it to Confluence.

Click Save.
Before you can use the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence, you'll need to set up single sign-on (SSO) for Acrolinx. To get started, follow the steps in our article on setting up Acrolinx for single sign-on.
Once you've set up SSO for Acrolinx, you can configure SSO in the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence. This lets all Confluence users access all Acrolinx functions without logging into Acrolinx.
To set up SSO, follow these steps:

Go to
> General configuration > Acrolinx Connector for Confluence > Configuration

Enter your SSO password in the Single Sign-on Password field.

Click Save.
Warning
The SSO password is mandatory for the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence 3.2.0 and later.
To define who can use the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence, follow these steps:

Navigate to
> General configuration > Acrolinx Connector for Confluence > Configuration.

Add user groups to the Enabled Confluence User Groups box.

Click Save.
Only members of the groups you define here can run checks.
Note
Before you use the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence, define at least one user group in the Enabled Confluence User Groups.
You can review a list of your style guides at > General configuration > Acrolinx Connector for Confluence > Style guide (formerly Guidance Profiles). Use the table to delete style guides, configure a default language, or set a global default.
Note
Global default profile behavior: When you first activate the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence in a space, the tool will automatically use the global default profile.
Configure language defaults
It's easy to configure a default language for a style guide.
Here's how to get started:

Go to
> General configuration > Acrolinx Connector for Confluence > Style guide.

Click Configure Language Defaults.

Select a default language from the Languages list.

Click Save.
Note
When you set a language default for a style guide, the style guide becomes the default for that specific language in all spaces. If you have a few style guides with the same default language, you can choose which to set as the default.
After you configure the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence on a global level, activate the add-on in the spaces where you want to use it.
Follow these steps to activate the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence for a space:

In the space where you want to activate the Acrolinx Connector for Confluence, navigate to Space tools > Apps > Acrolinx Connector - Settings.

Click the Edit button and check Enable Acrolinx Integration in this space.

(Optional) If you want to use a specific style guide in this space, select the profile from the Style guide dropdown.

Click Save.
Additional Language Settings
If you're using Scroll Translations, you can define separate style guides for different languages.
