  • Fixed check selection - Check selection didn't work in certain documents with Processing Instructions.

  • Updated about - We now display the correct sidebar-sdk-java version number in the About information.

This release, we've fixed one more bug that affected highlighting.

Bug fix

  • Highlighting issue - The wrong part of a sentence was highlighted in some cases. It turns out this was caused by zero-width space characters in some documents. We've added a fix.

This release, we've fixed a couple of bugs that affected checking.

Bug fixes

  • Check selection not working - You may have noticed that check selection didn't work in some cases (for example, in custom XML namespaces). We've fixed this.

  • Highlighting issues - Sometimes the wrong part of a sentence was highlighted when the "writenonasciichar" option was set to "numref". This is no longer the case.

We've fixed some bugs that you reported and addressed the new snapshot version of Arbortext Editor.

Platform support

We recommend that you use:

  • Acrolinx Platform version 2023.07 or later.

  • Arbortext 8.1 (64-bit) or Arbortext 8.2 (64-bit).

  • We support Java 11.

Bug fixes

  • Sidebar cards - All the Sidebar cards got grayed out once clicked.

  • Acrolinx didn't load - The Arbortext's XXE security issue fix caused trouble when you tried to load the Acrolinx menu.

  • Highlighting didn't work - Acrolinx didn't' highlight and replace issues as expected in XML files with default name spaces.

This release is to add support for Arbortext 8.2 and drop support for Arbortext 8.0. We've also simplified the user settings storage.

Acrolinx for Arbortext requires the following:

  • Arbortext 8.1 (64-bit) or Arbortext 8.2 (64-bit)

  • We support Java 11

Added Support

We've added support for Arbortext 8.2. In doing so, we've dropped support for Arbortext 8.0.

Improvements

Simplified storing for the configuration information for Acrolinx for Arbortext.

  • We've simplified the user settings storage by removing the dependency to store it in the registry.
