Before You Install

Check our Compatibility Guide if you want to know whether Acrolinx for Figma works with your local platforms. Before you install Acrolinx for Figma, make sure that you've installed the following:

Before you can install Acrolinx for Figma, you'll need to enable Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS). This will let Acrolinx share resources with the web application server.

Acrolinx for Figma is easy to install. Before you get started, be sure to identify which of Figma's plans you're on. If you use the Organization plan, for example, you can install Acrolinx for Figma for your entire organization. Otherwise, each member of your team will need to install Acrolinx for Figma separately.

To install Acrolinx for Figma, do the following:

  1. Open the file browser in Figma_Community_Icon.png Figma and click the Community icon at the top right.

  2. Search "Acrolinx" in the Search Community box at the top of the page, and click on Acrolinx for Figma and FigJam to view the plugin listing.

  3. Click the Try it Out button in the top-right corner of the listing to start using it.

  4. Figma will add the plugin to your account. When you use the editor, you'll find Acrolinx in the Plugins section of the Resources Figma_Resources_Icon.png menu.

    Tip

    To save the Acrolinx plugin, select the plugin name in the Resources menu. When the plugin details open, select More options Figma_More_Options_Icon.png> Save.

  5. Click Run to open the Sidebar.

With Organization Plan

Administrators for teams on the Organization plan can also install Acrolinx for Figma for everyone in their organization.

To install Acrolinx for Figma, do the following:

  1. Open the file browser in Figma_Community_Icon.png Figma and click the Community icon at the top right.

  2. In the Community navigation bar, click Browse as an admin and choose your preferred admin profile.

  3. Search "Acrolinx" in the Search Community box at the top of the page, and click on Acrolinx for Figma and FigJam to view the plugin listing.

  4. Click Save for everyone to save the plugin for everyone in the organization. The plugin will be labeled as Saved by organization in the Saved section of your plugins list.

Uninstall

You can uninstall Acrolinx for Figma directly from the Plugins page in Figma.

To uninstall Acrolinx for Figma, do the following:

  1. Click the account menu Acrolinx_Figma_Account_Menu_Dropdown.png in the top-right corner and select Plugins from the dropdown.

  2. Click More options Figma_More_Options_Icon.png> Remove from saved plugins.

Before You Install

Before you can install Acrolinx for Figma, you'll need to enable Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS). This will let Acrolinx share resources with the web application server.

Acrolinx for Figma is easy to install. Before you get started, be sure to identify which of Figma's plans you're on. If you use the Organization plan, for example, you can install Acrolinx for Figma for your entire organization. Otherwise, each member of your team will need to install Acrolinx for Figma separately.

To install Acrolinx for Figma, do the following:

  1. Open the file browser in Figma and click Community in the Figma sidebar.

  2. Search "Acrolinx" in the Search Community box at the top of the page.

  3. Click Plugins Figma_Search_Plugins_FIlter.png to filter results for plugins only.

  4. Click on Acrolinx for Figma and FigJam to view the plugin listing.

  5. Click the Install  button in the top-right corner of the listing.

  6. Figma will add the plugin to your account, and the plugin will appear under the Installed heading on the Plugins  page.

With Organization Plan

Administrators for teams on the Organization plan can also install Acrolinx for Figma for everyone in their organization.

To install Acrolinx for Figma for everyone in your organization, do the following:

  1. Open the file browser in Figma and click Community in the Figma sidebar.

  2. Search "Acrolinx" in the Search Community box at the top of the page.

  3. Click Plugins Figma_Search_Plugins_FIlter.png to filter results for plugins only.

  4. Click on Acrolinx for Figma and FigJam to view the plugin listing.

  5. Click Install  at the top-right corner of the listing and select Install for everyone at organization name from the dropdown.

  6. Figma will add the plugin to the Installed by organization name section of the Plugins page.

Uninstall

You can uninstall Acrolinx for Figma from the Plugins page in Figma or from the Figma Community page.

To uninstall the Acrolinx for Figma from the Plugins page, do the following:

  1. Click the dropdown Acrolinx_Figma_Account_Menu_Dropdown.png in the top-right corner of your screen in Figma to open the account menu.

  2. Select Plugins from the account menu to open the Plugins window.

  3. Under Installed, click the minus Figma_Uninstall_Minus_Sign.png icon  to the right of the plugin you want to remove.

To uninstall Acrolinx for Figma and FigJam in the Figma Community, do the following:

  1. Open the file browser in Figma and click Community in the Figma sidebar.

  2. Search "Acrolinx" in the Search Community box at the top of the page.

  3. Click Plugins Figma_Search_Plugins_FIlter.png to filter results for plugins only.

  4. When you find the listing for Acrolinx for Figma and FigJam, hover over the Installed  Figma_InstalledButton_FreePlan.pngbutton.

  5. Click Uninstall.Figma_UninstallButton_Free_Plan.png

Tip

Want to uninstall Acrolinx for Figma for everyone in your organization? If you're on the Organization plan, select Installed for everyone at organization name from the Installed dropdown Figma_Installed_Button_Org_Plan.png before you click uninstall.
