In this release, we've added full support for the web-based version of Quip. We also fixed a bug with the replacement function in newer versions of CKEditor.

Improvements

  • Structural improvements - We made a few changes behind the scenes to make our integration faster and more secure.

  • Replacement issue in CKEditor - We've fixed a bug that affected replacements in newer versions of CKEditor.

Summary

We're back with some updates to Acrolinx for Chrome. This release, we've switched from Manifest V2 to Manifest V3 for Chrome. We also did some general maintenance and took care of a bug that affected highlighting in certain editors.

Platform Support

Acrolinx for Chrome should work with older platform versions, however, we recommend using:

  • Acrolinx version 2021.05 or later

Improvements

Updated Chrome Manifest

Google recently introduced Manifest V3. This meant it was time for us to make a few updates. To make sure that Acrolinx gets the latest enhancements, we've updated from Manifest V2 to Manifest V3.

Bug Fixes

Acrolinx Not Highlighting Issues

In CKEditors like Zendesk, Acrolinx sometimes wouldn't highlight issues. Don't worry, we've fixed this. The next time you use Acrolinx in your favorite browser, your CKEditor content will be checkable once again.
