Important
The Acrolinx add-in isn’t yet publicly available from Microsoft AppSource. A Microsoft 365 admin can install Acrolinx for Microsoft 365 Word via centralized deployment.
To install Office add-ins with centralized deployment, you need Office ProPlus 2016 and Microsoft Exchange Server. This might be part of an Office 365 Business Premium subscription. Get more info about centralized deployment of add-ins.
In general, add-ins deployed from the admin center are immediately available to Microsoft 365 users. Note that the Acrolinx for Word and PowerPoint add-ins require a different manifest file than the Outlook add-in.
Word and PowerPoint: To install Acrolinx for Microsoft 365 Office, you'll need to upload the manifest file to the admin center. To do this, follow the detailed steps in the Microsoft documentation.
Outlook: To install Acrolinx for Microsoft 365 Office, you'll need to upload the manifest file to the admin center. To do this, follow the detailed steps in the Microsoft documentation.
Tip
When you install an add-in for Outlook, it may take up to 24 hours for the add-in to appear on the app ribbon in your Outlook mailbox.
All minor releases are updated automatically in Microsoft 365, so no manual action is required.
Major releases require a manual update. To update to the latest version of Acrolinx for Microsoft 365 Office, deploy the new manifest URL (this could be the same as the older manifest URL), and click OK.
