Solution

Update to 2022.11 or higher. These releases will include the new JReport license, so delivery will be automatic.
-
If you’re using Acrolinx Version 2019.05 - 2022.10:
Please contact support via our Support Portal and submit a ticket with the subject 'Analytics License Update' in the ticket. Please specify if you would prefer an updated guidance package or the latest platform version. Once submitted our support team will place the update on your secure download site at which point it will need to be deployed yo your production and test environments.
2019.05 - 2022.10
Delivery of the license can be provided by an updated guidance package.
Support can generate a new guidance package, which will include the license, You’ll then need to deploy this license and update your Analytics Server.
If the you can’t update your guidance package easily, the new JReport license file should be placed at the location shown below, and overwrite the existing license file:
<CONFIG_DIR>/data/report/overwrite/bin
Once the license file is placed there, 2 scenario possible:- Without K3s: the Analytics Server must be restarted as follows (Linux/Unix/Windows):
In the Acrolinx Dashboard Navigate to Servers > Analytics Server and click Restart Server.
- With K3s: The Core Server must be restarted typing the following command:
kubectl -n acrolinx rollout restart sts acrolinx-core-server
- If you’re using Acrolinx Version 5.2 - 2019.04
2019.04 - 5.2
The attached license (jslc.dat) must be manually installed by the customer.
The license file should be placed at the location shown below, and overwrite the existing license file:
Linux/Unix:
<USER_HOME>/.config/Acrolinx/ServerConfiguration<VERSION_NUMBER>/data/report/overwrite/bin
Windows:
C:\ProgramData\Acrolinx\ServerConfiguration\data\report\overwrite\bin
Once the license file is placed there, the Analytics Server must be restarted as follows (Linux/Unix/Windows):
In the Acrolinx Dashboard Navigate to Servers > Analytics Server and click Restart Server.
If the file isn't installed before November 15 2022, you won’t lose any data, however the analytics module won't produce reports until the guidance package or Update is deployed.
