Google Sidebar doesn't work with .docx files in Google Drive.

Cause

This is a known issue. Google Drive doesn’t support the 'add-ons' feature for .docx files.

Workaround

Google recommends Converting the office file to a Google Doc, and you'll be able to find the Acrolinx Sidebar again under the 'Add-ons' menu.
