The Approved Messaging goal lets you set the preferred expressions for a Target. Acrolinx finds expressions with similar wording to the ones that you’ve chosen as representatives in the Reuse section. After a check, you can replace expressions that have the same meaning as your set preference.
Acrolinx Reuse lets you approve messaging. You can select your preferred expression from a cluster of similar wording that was added to Reuse. Learn more about Reuse repositories in our Reuse Repositories documentation.
With Approved Messaging, you can select one repository from the repositories you manage in Reuse. You can only choose from the repositories that match the language of the Target.
To add a Reuse repository to your Target, follow these steps:
Navigate to Targets in your Acrolinx Dashboard.
Hover over the Target that you’d like to edit, and click the Target name.
Click on Approved Messaging to expand it. You can also click Edit to add the goal to your Target.
Use the dropdown to select the Reuse repository that you want to check with.
If you make these changes, you’ll need to reload the corresponding language configuration. After you save, a dialog box will open that asks if you want to RELOAD NOWor RELOAD LATER. To reload the language configuration immediately, simply click RELOAD NOW.
If you plan to work on more Targets, it might make sense to reload the language configuration after you've made all the changes you need. In this case, click RELOAD LATER. Keep in mind that the changes will only apply after a reload. You can reload the language configuration in the Servers section of the Dashboard.
