I updated my guidance package to Acrolinx version 5.1 and it included new context-sensitive guidelines (for example, only in 'title'). However, I get issues for these guidelines in contexts where there shouldn't be any issues (for example, in 'body text').
How can I correct the guideline configuration?
The new guidance package contains the right configuration, but your server already has customizations for writing guides. These customizations don’t specify a context for the new guidelines. Therefore, the context for the new guideline isn’t set correctly. By default, the new guideline is applied for all contexts.
There are two possible solutions.
1. If you know which contexts the guidelines should apply to, you need to log in to your Acrolinx Dashboard and on Guidance Settings -> Guidelines, change the guideline in the relevant writing guides to 'Contextual'. You can then select the correct contexts for your use case.
2. If you don’t know the correct contexts, you need to remove your writing guide customizations. Then, the defaults from your guidance package are applied. On your Acrolinx server, you need to delete the files in your configuration directory under data/contextConfiguration/ruleConfig. In this directory there’s an XML document for each writing guide. You need to delete the XML document for each writing guide that contains the new guidelines. After this, you then need to restart your server.
