Acrolinx sunsets development and technical support on older products, so we can focus our resources and ensure our current products and services are optimal.
Acrolinx provides technical support for both current versions of software and the versions immediately preceding them. Learn more about our support policy in the help center.
One exception to the sunset policy is when customers with a discontinued version upgrade to a current version. To assist these customers, support for the older version is available.
When a version is sunsetted or retired, Acrolinx will inform you via the customer newsletter. As we update this sunset policy page, it is important to visit it periodically to note any new information.
Servers are supported for 18 months after release date, excluding maintenance releases. Currently, we support the following server versions:
May 12, 2017
|5.1.x||December 13, 2016|
|5.0.x||August 31, 2016|
|4.7.x||April 20, 2016|
|4.6.x||December 18, 2015|
|4.5||October 20, 2015|
|4.4||August 3, 2015|
If you're using an older server version, please contact our support team to upgrade. We only support server versions on this list.
Support for integrations is not an exact science. If we offer an update path to a newer Acrolinx integration for your editor, we require you to update to that version. Check the compatibility guide to see if we support your editor version. Since we've introduced the sidebar edition, we've stopped adding new features to the classic editions. See the full list of sidebar edition integrations. At some point, we'll discontinue support for classic edition plug-ins entirely.

We used to support Solaris 8. Solaris 8 is end of life. We will not support newer Solaris versions. We recommend to migrate to RedHat Enterprise Linux.
