Acrolinx Sidebar - Version 14.0 (10 March 2016)
This is the first release of the sidebar that is delivered with the Acrolinx server. Previous versions of the sidebar were released and delivered separately. The version 14 sidebar includes a redesigned interface, new branding, usability improvements, and bug fixes.
New Look and Feel for the Acrolinx Logo and Icons
We've changed the logo, icons, and color scheme. It now looks much cleaner and generally more pleasing to the eye.
New Sidebar Layout
We've rearranged the sidebar header so that it's now divided across a few main tabs. This layout lets us add more functionality in future releases.
New Card Layout
We've implemented a card layout that includes issue text, issue tittle, suggestion (if applicable), and a set of user actions.
We've Added Support for Single Sign-On (SSO)
The sidebar now works with products that need SSO, for example, WordPress.
We've Improved How You Filter the Issue Cards
You can now select all or deselect all when filtering for specific issue types.
We've Made It Easier to Fix Repeat Occurrences of the Same Issue
You now select "Replace all occurrences" to fix all the occurrences of an issue with one click.
Available with Acrolinx Server Version 4.7: We've Made It Easier to Enter Custom Information
Sometimes, your administrator wants you to enter extra information about your user account or the type of document that you're checking. Previously, Acrolinx would ask you for this information in a popup window. Now, you enter this information directly in the sidebar. Because nobody like popups.
Support for English and German User Interface Languages
The plug-in requires the following Acrolinx products:
- Acrolinx server version 4.7 or later
- Acrolinx resources version 4.7 or later
- Acrolinx sidebar version 14.0.
