What You Should Know Before Installing
Before you install Acrolinx for Notes, make sure that you have the following software installed:

In IBM Notes, you get a lighter version of the Sidebar. The cards give you all the information you need to correct your content. But Acrolinx doesn't highlight issues in the text and doesn't replace issues for you. You can edit each issue directly in the text. All other Sidebar features work as usual.
To get started, review the following tasks and concepts:
Acrolinx checks your Mails, To Dos, Contacts, and Calendar Entries as well as custom document templates (.nsf).
If you do the installation yourself, ask your Acrolinx administrator for the update site URL. You might have it already if you and the Acrolinx administrator are the same person.
To install Acrolinx, you need to create a new widget.

You can change your Acrolinx address by signing out and signing in again. Sign out from the slide-out menu in the Sidebar.
The interface language of the Sidebar is English.
Read on if you're the Acrolinx administrator.
IBM Notes supports server-side content extraction processing. You can define the extraction settings by adding and uploading Content Profiles to your server installation. Configure your Content Profiles using the instructions in the section Content Profiles . However, your guidance package also comes with default Content Profiles.
Optional: Share the Acrolinx Widget
You can share Widget via e-mail. Just choose E-mail to with a right click on the widget icon in My Widgets .
You can also push the Acrolinx widget to all IBM Notes users. This might be helpful to ensure that every user gets the Acrolinx update. Follow the instructions in the IBM Knowledge Base to do so.
