Could not create category type <CATEGORY_NAME> com.acrolinx.api.category.exceptions.DuplicateCategoryTypeCreationExceptionThe errors appear erratically and inconsistently, often when users perform tasks that they recently completed without any problems.
This issue sometimes occurs when one user is restoring a terminology database backup while other users are still logged into the Dashboard. When the server is the process of restoring a terminology database backup, the database is temporarily in an inconsistent state which can cause errors for some users.
Resolving the Problem
You can usually resolve this problem by logging out and then back in to the Dashboard. After a terminology database backup, the server or terminology administrator should also restart all servers. If you still encounter these errors after logging back in, contact your server or terminology administrator to ensure that they have correctly restarted all servers after performing a database backup.
