|Acrolinx Plug-in for Microsoft Word||All versions|
The Acrolinx shortcut menu in Microsoft Word is not displayed when right-clicking a flagged issue.
Incorrect processing of Acrolinx flags often causes this problem. For example, if you type over a spelling mistake flagged by Acrolinx, the flag remains, but the shortcut menu is no longer available. Always correct a flag by right-clicking a word and selecting "Edit Flag" in the shortcut menu.
Resolving the Problem
Versions earlier than 3.0: If you have a large document which contains many of these orphaned flags, you can use a macro to remove them automatically. Use the keyboard shortcut Alt+F8 and select "acrocheckCleanOrphans" from the list. Use this solution sparingly, as it can take a long time to process and removes all existing Acrolinx flagging.
Version 3.0 and later: Use the command Permanently Remove Flags in the Acrolinx menu to permanently remove all flags, including orphaned flags, from the document.
