|Acrolinx Plug-in for XMetaL||All versions|
If files are loaded from a CMS, users might encounter issues with the Acrolinx plug-in in XMetaL. For example, users click flags and nothing happens, flags become embedded into the document, or an error message is displayed that the plug-in could not patch the file <XMETAL_DIR>\Author\DITA\XACs\topic\topic_database.mcr .
This issue occurs in CMS environments where documents are stored in and opened from a location in the content management system.
Resolving the Problem
To solve this issue, you must patch the MCR files on the CMS server by running the following command as an administrator:
rundll32.exe "<PATH_TO_ACROLINX_XMETAL_PLUGIN_DLL>", PatchMacroFileEntryPoint file="<PATH_TO_PATCH_FILE>\\<PATCH_FILE>.mcr"
For example: rundll32.exe "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Acrolinx\\PlugIns\\XMetaLPlugIn\XMetalPlugin.dll", PatchMacroFileEntryPoint file="C:\\XMetaL_DITA\\concept.mcr"
The command must have access to a number of DLL files included in the Acrolinx plug-in, including the XMetalPlugin.dll . You must provide a complete path to a network accessible computer where the XMetalPlugin.dll is installed, or a path to the XMetalPlugin.dll on the computer that you are running the command from. The DLL file can typically be found under <INSTALL_DIR>\Acrolinx\PlugIns\XMetaLPlugIn .
