A named user can use the same license to log on to multiple computers. However, the user cannot use Acrolinx on both computers simultaneously. If you want to switch back from one computer to the other there can be a delayed reaction from Acrolinx as it reconciles the change. This delay is dynamically adjusted depending on your usage pattern.

Be aware that a user ID is always bound to one computer at a time, and there is a blocking period which increases exponentially each time a user switches computers.
For example, lets say there are people on two different computers (computer A, and computer B) trying to use the same user ID: "tester".
The first person completes a check on computer (A) then...
If someone tries to use the same ID "tester" from another computer ("computer B"), they block the user on "computer A" for 15 minutes.
If the user on computer A waits 15 minutes and then runs a check, they block the user on computer B for 30mins.
If the user on computer B waits 30 minutes and then runs a check, they block the user on computer A for 60mins....and the so exponential doubling of the blocking period goes on indefinitely.
When a user attempts to use a computer that has been blocked, the error message " User license already in use - message ID #8 " appears.
