|Acrolinx Server||Versions 2.5 or earlier|
When logging on to the Dashboard, the message "Terminology database is permanently unavailable" appears and the Terminology menu item is not visible.
java.lang.RuntimeException: double allocation in file <INSTALL_DIR>\db\terminology\terminology.index.db page
When using the default H2 terminology database, the index file of the H2 database can become corrupted when aborting the restart of the Acrolinx servers (for example, by terminating the server task in the task manager).
Resolving the Problem
If you are using server version 2.5 or earlier, delete the terminology.index.db and restart the core server. The index file is automatically recreated upon server restart. In general, avoid aborting a server startup process before it has completed.
You can also resolve this issue by upgrading to the latest version of the Acrolinx Server. This issue is resolved in server versions 2.6 or later. The H2 database was upgraded to version 1.3.158 which is no longer susceptible to this problem.
