|Acrolinx Plug-in for Microsoft Word||All versions|
After you save a document in Microsoft Word, Acrolinx temporarily hides flags in the document. However, it is standard behavior for Microsoft Word to run periodic background saves.
The Acrolinx Plug-in does not distinguish between automatic and manual saves. Flags stay in the document during automatic saves, but the Acrolinx Plug-in must restore them after the save has completed.
Resolving the Problem
If you find this behavior disruptive, you can switch off the autosave settings in Microsoft Word. In Word 2003, you can find these settings inunder the save tab. Uncheck the Allow background saves and Save autorecover info checkboxes. In Word 2007 and higher, you can find these settings in under the Save section. Uncheck the Allow background saves checkbox.
