To enable logging in Google Docs, the user needs to add a command into the sidebar.html file. You can access the sidebar.html file by opening a document in Google Docs and browsing to:
1.) Tools-> Script editor...
This should open a new tab with the following pop-up:
2.) Click on "Google Docs add-on"
3.) Select the sidebar.html tab on the left hand side:
Once there, add the following command and save as Sidebar.html:
var isLoggingOn = 'on';
This enables logging. All logs will be saved to an Acrolinx.log file that is stored in the Google Drive of the user. This log-file contains the time taken to execute scripts at both the Google Docs server side, and the Acrolinx server side.
To disable logging, the user needs to make the following modification to the command:
var isLoggingOn = 'off';
