In this release, we've improved the user experience of the Sidebar. We're excited that Acrolinx now checks links.
The Cell Address Is Now Displayed in the Sidebar Card
Now, you can see the cell address on each Sidebar card. So, you can easily locate the issue text in your document.
Acrolinx Now Checks Links
Previously, Acrolinx wasn't able to check links in your Google documents. Now, Acrolinx checks the validity of URLs from your content if your server administrator has turned on link checking. Acrolinx reads the URLs that are visible in your documents and also the linked URLs behind a text. Context Segmentation Definition (CSD)
We've improved the CSD for Google Sheets. Update your guidance package or ask the Acrolinx Support to send you a new one.
The Acrolinx Sidebar Now Appears in Your Preferred Language
The interface language of the Sidebar appears in either English, German, French, Swedish, or Japanese depending on your Google account language preferences.
Updated Add-Ons for More Consistency
Enterprise Federated Authentication (Requires 5.2 Server)
The add-ons now work with Enterprise Federated Authentication. If the Acrolinx administrator turns on external authentication with PingFederate, writers can sign in to Acrolinx using their user account from your company's user directory.
Acrolinx Shows Correct Path of Document in Scorecard and Analytics Dashboards (Requires 5.2 Server)
Previously, if you checked a Google Sheet, Acrolinx displayed a combination of the document path and name in the Scorecard. As a result, if you clicked on the file name in an Analytics report, the original document failed to open. Now, the file name includes only the path to the original document. So, you can click that link and open it in a browser. This fix will only work if you use the new Google Add-ons together with a version 5.2 server.

In this release, we've improved the user experience of the sidebar so that it looks the same no matter what plug-in you're using. Plus we've updated the design so that it matches our new branding.
We've improved how you filter the issue cards
You can now select all or deselect all when filtering for specific issue types.
We've made it easier to fix repeat occurrences of the same issue
You now select "Replace all occurrences" to fix all the occurrences with one click.
We've made it easier to enter custom information
Sometimes, your administrator wants you to enter extra information about your user account or the type of document that you're checking. Previously, Acrolinx would prompt you for this information in a popup window. Now, you enter this information directly in the sidebar. No more annoying popups!
You can now get the add-on directly from the Google add-ons store.
Previously, you had to get the add-on from Acrolinx. The Acrolinx add-on is now publicly available on the Google Apps Marketplace, so you can install just like any other add-on.

Information on Upgrading
To use the newest Google Sheets add-on, you'll need to upgrade your server and resources. You'll need linguistic resources and a server with the version 4.5 or later. Ask your project consultant about upgrading to this version. This add-on version is optimized to work with the latest version of the Acrolinx sidebar.

Acrolinx for Google Sheets - Version 1.0 (December 2015)
This release includes a significant changes to provide a consistent user experience and set of functionality across all Acrolinx plug-ins of the sidebar edition.
We've updated the Google Sheets add-on to work with the latest Sidebar
The previous version of the Google Sheets add-on worked with an early version of the sidebar. The add-on now uses the standard Acrolinx Sidebar that also comes with other Acrolinx products.
