Acrolinx Classic Edition for oXygen
Acrolinx for oXygen (classic edition)
For the classic edition, we never officially supported a manual installation of Acrolinx for Oxygen. We don't deliver Acrolinx for Oxygen on your download area. If you use classic edition of Acrolinx for oXygen Eclipse with the Ixiasoft CMS, read how to add Acrolinx as an Ixiasoft dropin .
If you would like to install the classic edition of the oXygen plug-in manually, you can download the .jar files from the following sites:
oXygen Standalone: http://updates.acrolinx.com/classic/oxygen/standalone
oXygen Eclipse: http://updates.acrolinx.com/classic/oxygen/eclipse/
- Select the plug-in version you would like to install, e.g. oxygen-standalone-188.8.131.52-oXygen_plugin.jar and download it.
- Close <oXygen/> XML Editor and unzip the installation package.
- Open the contents of the installation package so that you see the file plugin.xml and two directories lib and META-INF . Copy them all to the following location:
(If the subdirectory \acrolinx does not yet exist inside <OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR>\plugins , please create it.)
The file plugin.xml and the two directories lib and META-INF should be located at the top level of the acrolinx directory.
The next time you start Oxygen, the Acrolinx toolbar is visible.
Note: The most important line you must follow in this example is:
"The file plugin.xml and the two directories lib and META-INF should be located at the top level of the acrolinx directory."
This is not an officially supported installation method for the oXygen classic edition plug-in.
