Acrolinx for oXygen Standalone and Eclipse - Version 3.5.1 (11 October 2016)
Release Summary
This is a minor release but it also includes a few other improvements, bug fixes, and updates.
Changes
You Now Get the Acrolinx Score
You can now see the latest Acrolinx Score (sometimes referred to as the "quality score") in the results dialog. The Acrolinx Score expresses the average of all category scores as a standardized score out of 100 that is easier for most users to understand. The higher the score, the higher the quality of the content. You can influence the calculation of the Acrolinx Score by configuring the weighting of category scores.
Available with Acrolinx Server version 5.0: Large scorecards now load faster
On some computers, the Acrolinx Scorecard took a while to display. That's because the Scorecard was an XML file that the server transformed "on the fly" with XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations). Sometimes this even caused people's browsers to crash. We've done away with all that malarkey and now we just give you the Scorecard as an HTML file. So, now it should display a lot faster and not crash your browser.
Platform Support
We've added support for oXygen version 18 and 18.1.

Release Summary
This is a minor release but it also includes a few other improvements, bug fixes, and updates.
Also, if you've read the plug-documentation before, you might be accustomed to visiting our old infocenter at "infocenter.acrolinx.com". While older versions of the documentation are still there, we've moved the latest documentation to the section " Using Acrolinx in your Editor - Classic Edition " in this help center.
Changes
Rebranded Acrolinx Logo and Icons
We've updated all icon images and the Acrolinx logo that appear in the product.
Introduced New Update Site URL
We recommend using the update site to install and update the plug-in. The new URL for the standalone plug-in is:
http://updates.acrolinx.com/classic/oxygen/standalone/updateSite.xml
You can read more about installing and updating the plug-in here .
We've added the Acrolinx score to the embedded checking status
When enabling the option to embed the checking status into the checked document, we now also embed the newer Acrolinx score (sometimes referred to as the "quality score"). The embedded metadata now looks something like this:
acro_status Date = 10/13/15, Time = 13:15:12, spelling = 13, grammar = 23, style = 129, total = 165, score = 4135, status = red, qualityScore = 17
Platform Support
We've added support for oXygen version 17.1. We no longer support versions 14 and 14.1. By dropping support for older versions, we can continue to focus our resources on improving the Acrolinx experience for these newer versions.
We've also removed support for JDK 1.6 which was required for versions 14 and 14.1 oXygen.
We've added support for Windows 10.
We've removed the documentation that's packaged with the Plug-in
We've removed the documentation that's packaged with the oXygen plug-in. Now, when you select "Help" in the oXygen plug-in, you'll be taken to the article Using Acrolinx in your Editor - Classic Edition in this help center.
We want to make sure that you get the most up-to-date help so that's why we take you to the online help center. If you have writers who need offline help, you can click the PDF button at the top of an article. Download the PDF and distribute it to the writers who need to access the information offline.
Notable Bug Fixes
Recheck Selection Included the Entire Document
In previous versions of Acrolinx for oXygen, if you selected a part of your document and clicked "Recheck Selection", Acrolinx erroneously checked the entire document. We've fixed this issue so now when you select a sentence or paragraph and click "Recheck Selection", Acrolinx only rechecks the text that you selected.
Update Information
If you have previously installed the plug-in manually, remove the manually installed version first . You can corrupt your Acrolinx installation if you install the plug-in twice with two different installation methods.
