This service release fixes a pesky bug that caused the Sidebar in Word to crash.
Acrolinx for Mac 2.0 requires the following:

Tip
Acrolinx for Mac 2.0.1 is also compatible with 13.0 (Ventura). We recommend that you use it with Acrolinx Platform version 2021.12 or later.

We added support for up to Sketch 70. For those of you keeping track, we now officially support Sketch versions 63-70.
Apple came out with ARM support with the release of Big Sur. We've added support for that in this release.
New NotificationAcrolinx for Mac doesn't support documents saved to the network. This isn't new, but how would you know? You'll now see a message that says Acrolinx can't check network saved documents such as documents saved on OneDrive.
Improved Check Speed in SketchWe've rewritten the Sketch integration to make it faster! How much faster, you might ask. Around 65% faster. Now when you check with Acrolinx in Sketch, you won't have to wait as long to get your results.
This is one of our biggest Mac releases yet, with a special focus on Sketch! We improved the user experience during setup so that it's easier to get Acrolinx up and running. We also let Apple look at Acrolinx to make sure we're not doing anything "malicious" (spoiler: we're not!), and we jammed packed this release with Sketch updates.
Some of the changes rely on a newer macOS, so we dropped support for macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) with this release. But we added support for newer versions of Sketch.

Dropped SupportDue to an update in XCode, we had to drop support for 10.13 (High Sierra) when we notarized our integration with Apple.
When you used Acrolinx for the first time, you might have seen an unsettling message that said "Acrolinx can't be opened because Apple can’t check it for malicious software." While Acrolinx was safe to use, this wasn't a great user experience. Now that Acrolinx is notarized with Apple, you'll stop seeing this message. They checked. We're good.
Better Information When Switching Between ApplicationsDid you find it confusing when you noticed that the "Show Sidebar" icon was grayed out in the Acrolinx dropdown? This happened when you switched to an application that Acrolinx didn't support. We've improved the information in the Acrolinx dropdown, so that now when you have Acrolinx open and aren’t in an Acrolinx supported application, you'll know what is happening.
We've created a new Check Selection feature in Sketch! Instead of checking the whole Sketch canvas, you can now select the parts of your canvas that you want to check. The best part? You can easily toggle between checking the whole canvas and selecting the parts of the canvas you want to check with Acrolinx.
Check on an Object from a LibraryNew feature Put yourself at ease knowing you can now check for errors in the text on an object from a third-party library.
Extract Formats to Fit Your Context-Specific GuidelinesYou can now check context-specific guidelines in Sketch! You’ll need to configure these context-specific rules in the Content Profile. This could be, for example, a context-specific guideline that states that the title should be a certain length. If the title length is any longer, Acrolinx picks it up.

Improved ZoomingWe've improved the zooming within in Sketch so that when you have multiple designs on your canvas, Acrolinx won’t completely zoom into that issue and lose focus on your other designs. Now, Acrolinx zooms in a more elegant way that doesn’t take the whole document out of focus.
If you accidentally didn't allow Acrolinx permission to access your Mac applications the first time around, you’d never see the message asking for permissions again. This left you a bit stuck, blocking you from using Acrolinx without knowing why. We fixed this, so that Acrolinx will keep reminding you to give it the permissions it needs.
You'll see a few different panels asking for permissions (for example, one for the application, and one for "System Events"). Don't let this confuse you. Accept all the panels so that Acrolinx can read and revise your content.
It's good to know that you'll be asked to accept some permissions for each application that Acrolinx for Mac supports: Outlook, PowerPoint, Sketch, and Word. The panels appear when you first open the Sidebar in each application, separately.
Acrolinx Wasn’t Highlighting Multistring Issues in PowerPointThere was a bug where Acrolinx wouldn't highlight multistring "words". For example, if your guidance picked up contractions, like "it is", then Acrolinx wouldn't highlight your content when you clicked on the Sidebar card. We've fixed this, so you'll know exactly where these issues are.
