Before you start to review your content in Content Cube, you might want to select which goals appear in your collections. This is helpful if you don't yet use one of the goals, or if you want to track content for a specific goal like Inclusive Language. Depending on how you plan to interpret each goal, you can also adjust the corresponding score threshold. If you're an admin, you can also set the default goals for all collections.
Note
These are some of the same goals that you use in your style guides.
Depending on your style guide, the Acrolinx Score can be made up of some of the following goals:
Is your content easy to read, or is it too complex for your audience? Acrolinx lets you know when you've hit the mark and when you might need to simplify.
When you create content, it can be tricky to stick to one particular style guide. It’s almost impossible to know all the rules by heart. Acrolinx reminds you how and when to use the guidelines from the Acrolinx standard, The Chicago Manual of Style (Chicago), or The Associated Press Stylebook (AP).
Inclusive language is one way to dissolve polarizing views and align the impact of your words with your intentions. Acrolinx identifies opportunities to create accessible, people-first content that aligns with your brand, values, and readers.
When your content includes titles, subtitles, lists, and images, it's eye catching and easy to read. Acrolinx helps you keep a clear and consistent structure.
Of course, you want to write correctly in the language you’ve selected. Correctness combines all spelling and grammar guidelines.
Are you using brand terms correctly? Use Acrolinx to keep track of your brand and product terms. It lets you know when you haven’t used them quite right.
Define custom scoring thresholds for each goal. Each of the goals listed is part of an overarching score called the Acrolinx Score. This unique scoring measures how well your content meets your business goals.
To customize the scoring thresholds for your goals, do the following:
