Release a User License

Tip

Before you start, make sure that your role has the "Release user licenses" privilege.

It's good practice to review usage regularly and release user licenses that you don't use. You can release a named user license from a user to make the user "inactive."

To release a license, follow these steps:

This option is only available if you have a named user license. Read more about licensing in License Types.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Users.

  2. Click the username of the user whose license you'd like to adjust.

  3. Click RELEASE LICENSE under License type > License status in the General tab.
