Acrolinx for Chrome - Version 1.1 (19 June 2018)
Acrolinx for Chrome is now even more reliable, and supports the latest Chrome version. Keep all your content crisp by checking what you write, where you write it!
Sidebar Appears in Your Browser Language
If you've set your browser language to English, German, French, Japanese, or Swedish, then the Sidebar will also appear in this language. For all other languages, the Sidebar will appear in English.
Acrolinx Replacements Keep Their Distance
Due to a bug introduced in Chrome 63, some words were getting too close for comfort. If you replaced your text with an Acrolinx suggestion, sometimes your words would look squished together, even though the HTML was fine. We managed to work around this issue and give your suggestions the space they deserve.
Sidebar Doesn't Float off the Screen Anymore
When you resize Chrome with your mouse, the Sidebar tries to be smart and stay centered on the screen. In the last version of Acrolinx for Chrome, sometimes the Sidebar got confused and floated off the screen. After some gentle guidance, we helped the Sidebar find its way again so that you don't have to go chasing after it.
Updated Content Profile Required
Acrolinx for Chrome now reads text from all fields in a web page. Because of this, you might see some Sidebar cards that aren't relevant to you. You can update your Content Profile to filter certain content on your web pages and solve this problem. Our Acrolinx support team is happy to help with this!
Sidebar Start Page Now Included in Installation
Acrolinx used to load the Sidebar start page from the cloud. Now, we’ve bundled the start page with Acrolinx for Chrome.
We've developed and tested this version of Acrolinx for Chrome with Chrome versions 57.x.
Acrolinx for Chrome requires the following Acrolinx product:
- Acrolinx version 5.2 or later
Acrolinx for Chrome - Version 1.0 (25 August 2016)
We have a new Chrome integration. You can use it to check content in any editable fields on a web page.
This integration is great if you have web content that you want to check but don't yet have an Acrolinx product to use in your web CMS. The following table shows how well Acrolinx works on some social media sites and other web tools. We'll continue to extend this list.
